The sage throws his book at the batchelors. This scene has a cool slow motion fade effect on it that I think works extremely well. Plus it's very economical time wise.

The sage does a massive backflip onto the top of the mountain then launches himself into the air.

The pieces fly in... followed by the two "borrowed" onions. And get blended.

Swept off the table into a catapult aimed at a giant blender. And shot towards it.

And following on from the last scene, Pull him down....... And chop him into bits!

This is the sequence in the poem where the batchelors are told about an old sage sitting atop the mountain, they are instructed to seize him by the toes and pull him down....

This is a very rough version.... In the final scene I will have seperated the cloud and hill elements and moved the smaller clouds further back from the camera to hopefully give this some depth. And of course it will be coloured and have some sort of colour/effect for the sky.

This is going to be something like the look of my backgrounds... I really like the one with a black sky but as a most of my characters have partially black outfits/accesories it just wouldn't work. As some of my film is outside and some inside I think I need to distinguish the sky... I will start to experiment with things soon. That should break up the large areas of white.

Just thought I'd post some concept drawings and colour tests to break up the continuous stream of links.

And last scene with the french character... he gets mugged for his onions and beaten with his own french loaf.

Next scene... the batchelors steal Frenchy's french stick.

This is the introduction of the french character....there are temporary colours on the batchelors which I think I will change. I'm leaning back to more natural colours now.... I think the all one colour will affect the readability of action and expression.
