Click here to watch 'Frenchy Walk Cycle'

This is a Walk cycle of my French character.... total stereotype all the way. A drawing I did in my sketchbook had this extreme perspective on the ciggarette holder and I really wanted to get that into the film.
Click here to watch 'Mouse Trap'

So the next scene is showing the mouse get caught... It'll cut away just before the trap goes off and you will hear the sound of the mouse trap as it cuts.
The program I'm using to embed video files here has stopped working so I will have to post links for a while.

Click here to watch 'Muffin Capture'

This is the second scene in the film and if you've read the poem you will remember that one batchelor catches a muffin.... so I made the muffin a living character, gave him legs and had him be hunted down.

Character Turnaround: Stan. Much the same body design as ollie but with less clothing apparel. Like Ollie's tie, Stan's hair will flap around and give overlap.

Character Turnaround: Ollie. The eyes and teeth will have to be in white otherwise it is very difficult to read expression etc. Ollie has a tie that flaps around and will provide good opportunities for overlap animation which will keep it alive when I'm doing more limited animation.

Character Turnaround: Sage. I am considering going for this more graphic approach to colouring as I think the normal colours seemed a bit too normal... this is a much stronger visual.

Here is the test animation I did with a finalised background... This will be something like the look of my final film. I'm not sure where i'm going with colour for the backgrounds, they may change with the mood of the scene or they may end up being natural colours. I'll need to experiment with that a bit more.

Character sketches and concepts from my sketchbook.

Here is the version I have entered into the sketchtavern monthly animation competition. I think the colour and the tie flapping around really improve the piece. I will probably change the backround and add shadows on the character at some point but for now I'm very happy with this and hope that my film will live up to/surpass this test
